When should I start looking for my wedding dress? At Just Curves bridal we boast a mixture of designer "order in" gowns and "off the peg" styles. We even enjoy an outstanding collection of "order in" dresses that can be ordered in with fast delivery time. To allow yourself the best choice of gowns, we would advise you to give yourself the best chance possible of finding "the one" by coming to us with plenty of time. If you don't have a year do not panic we still have some great options for you. If you decide to choose A wedding dress from our "order in' collections, typical times for delivery are around 5-6 months. Whether you decide to purchase an order in gown or buy off the peg, don’t forget you will also require time for alterations. Timing for this can vary, but lots of seamstresses get quite busy and so you will need to get booked in early.
What should I wear to my appointment? As a guide, neutral underwear is inevitably a good idea, and maybe a strapless bra. Our prospective brides frequently comment that clothes easy to take off are more comfortable on the day. But none of this is a must just some helpful advice. Feel free to bring along some heels if you would like and please try to limit makeup to help keep our gorgeous dresses clean for all brides. If you are worried or anxious about getting undressed please let us know and we discuss the best way to keep you comfortable and relaxed.
Who can I bring to my appointment? At Just Curves Bridal we are a small private boutique. We don't have room for too many guests but are happy to comfortably accommodate up to four guests. Please bring with you those whose options matter the most. Leave some guests to be amazed on your wedding day when they see you in your beautiful wedding dress. We are happy if you need to bring along your children but would typically advise for your sake to try not to.
How does buying a wedding dress work? This is a common question our brides ask at appointments so here is the process. Arrange your appointment through our online booking portal Arrange whom you are bringing with you. Arrive at the boutique, where you will be greeted by your private consultant. You will then get some time to look through all of the gowns and pick a few to start your journey. If you want help, we can assist you to make a start. Our consultants are exceptionally skilled and if needed will carefully pick our gowns for you. When you find the one... we will collect some measurements (not off the peg) and once agreed you will make your initial payment and your dress will be ordered for you. Once your dress arrives in the store, we will contact you to arrange a collection and try on your new wedding dress. Final payment must be made at this point and if you would like to order other accessories this can be done now or at your initial appointment. You will then take home your dress and arrange to meet a seamstress for any alterations needed. GET MARRIED, after all the excitement of wedding planning, it's time for the big day!! Send us loads of photos of your amazing day. This is the best part of our job, and we wait eagerly!
Payments Off-the-peg dresses or sale dresses will need to be paid for in full on the day of your appointment. You will then take home your dress that day unless you decide to use our storage option (cost applies). Order in gowns will need a 50% first payment with the remainder to be paid once the dress arrives with us.
